Delhi free solar route is live on the Solar Portal

This update replaces the earlier “approved, not live” status. Delhi’s official Solar Portal now says the second amendment is notified and implemented, and it accepts consumer consent for the ULA installation route.

Eligible homes using up to 400 units a month can receive a free 2 or 3 kW system, subject to the portal check and technical feasibility. The portal lists a separate paid route above 400 units: up to ₹78,000 central subsidy plus up to up to ₹78,000 Delhi subsidy.

The application is available on the Delhi Solar Portal. Its guide says IPGCL is selecting ULA vendors through a tender and that the selection process may take about 1.5–2 months. Do not pay an intermediary to “reserve” a place; submit consent directly and keep the reference number sent by SMS.
